Sizzle Challenge

Sizzle Challenge

Creating Healthy College Cuisine

Join us for our inaugural Sizzle Challenge, a live cooking competition for students at Oklahoma State University!

From February 5th - February 23rd, 2024, students may submit their favorite healthy recipe using the ingredients listed below. Entries can be entered as an individual student or a team of 2. All recipes will be evaluated and judged based on a variety of factors. The top 4 recipe submissions will be invited to compete live in front of an audience and judging panel to cook and create their submitted recipes. The winning entree will be featured as a signature item at dining concepts across campus. Recipes don't need to be complicated and should be your own creation.

Recipe judging will be based upon the following:

  • Recipe guidelines
  • Taste
  • Appearance
  • Ability to convert to mass quantity production
  • Creativity and originality
  • Cost
  • Nutrition

Student fan vote will be added to the final judging scores.

If your recipe is selected as one of the top four, you will be notified via your okstate.edu email. You have by the end of the day to respond to verify your spot.
